The following letter went out this week from LOSD superintendent Dr. Heather Beck. It's a great opportunity for all of us to have a say about the District's policies around these difficult issues.
Dear Parents/Guardians, Staff, and Community Members,
LOSD's mission is the be an inclusive and safe learning community with challenging opportunities that will develop lifelong learners. We want to explore the opportunities, curricula, and experiences our students should have as part of their education as we plan our future programs and facilities.
We invite you to join this important conversation about how we can provide challenging opportunities that will support all our students. Please imagine the things you want our students to be able to experience and to achieve.
We ask that you take a few minutes to respond to two open-ended questions to help guide us in our long-range planning efforts. Please share your thoughts and then consider and rate the thoughts of others.
Please click on this Thought Exchange link.

All thoughts and ratings shared during our exchange are anonymous. By participating, your thoughts and ratings will be shared with others but your identity will remain private. This thought exchange will be open from May 16 to May 31 and the results will be presented to the School Board and to the Long Range Facilities Planning Committee this summer.
Thank you for your contributions,
Dr. Heather Beck
