Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce to Honor Willie Poinsette at Annual Celebration of Excellence Dinner


The Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce has announced it will be honoring Respond to Racism co-founder Willie Poinsette with the Community Leader of the Year Award. Poinsette will receive the award at the Celebration of Excellence Dinner on Mar. 16.

According to the Lake Oswego Review, "The annual event pays tribute to community members and local businesses who strive throughout the year to make Lake Oswego a better place to live, work and play.

"Among this year's honorees is Respond to Racism co-founder Willie Poinsette, who will be honored as Community Leader of the Year for her work with the grassroots organization to address issues of equity, diversity and inclusion in Lake Oswego...

"The evening will also include drawings for jewelry and a Columbia River Gorge experience, and the opportunity to sign up for a party with Lake Oswego's police and fire chiefs. Tickets ($100 each or $1,000 for a table of 10) are available online at www.lake-oswego.com or by calling 503-636-3634."
