Juneteenth Celebration, June 19, 2021

Commemorate the end of slavery with a community celebration honoring the historic day.

Respond to Racism and the City of Lake Oswego are thrilled to announce our program for our Juneteenth celebration!

The celebration will be held on June 19th from 4:30-6:30pm at Millennium Park Plaza The program will feature:

  • Remarks by RTR President Willie Poinsette, Mayor Joe Buck, and City Councilor Massene Mboup

  • Keynote by Community Activist Antoinette Edwards

  • Emcee & DJ Denmark

  • Music by Randal Wyatt, Conscious Ave, Julianne Johnson-Weiss and Alex Addy

  • Poetry by the Respond to Racism Youth Empowerment Committee

  • Open Mic
